When we think about starting a fat loss process, the first thing that comes to mind is: “I should exercise more.” This concept has been a staple in the fitness industry for years, which makes it an incontestable truth to many. However, in terms of a fat loss phase, more recent research reveals that exercise programs work less than we think they do: it’s fundamental to maintain a weight loss phase, but not very useful if you’re just getting started.


In this episode of the Next Level Human podcast, Dr. Jade explains the details about the research on TDEE levels, metabolism, and all the variables involved. When it comes to initiating a fat loss or weight loss phase the main focus should be calorie reduction, more movement (like light cardio, leisure walk) and slowly increasing our weight training sessions during the week.
