On Stress Psychology - Ep. 141

What is stress in the first place? Stress has two main effects on an individual: a physiological effect and a psychological one. The physiological effect has more well-known symptoms such as irregular breathing, anxious thoughts, feelings of overwhelm, and pretty much anything that throws us off balance. On the other hand, psychological effects include fear, lack of purpose, meaninglessness, and more stress.

As a follow-up to the previous episode, Dr. Jade debriefs the perception of stress, and what we could possibly do with the stress levels that impact us through life. Specifically, at the current times, we are living in, everyone has at least one source of stress that comes up during the day, and it’s important to recognize when it happens. Also important to remember: when we go through situations of stress, our body ends up creating resilience to go through more situations of stress, so stay strong!
