Let’s talk about fitness, one of the most important things to do is define your goal. This goal oftentimes impacts the way we look, the way we feel, how long we live, and how well we function. In this episode, Dr. Jade explains the importance of focusing on one specific thing at a time because: “the metabolism doesn’t like to multitask”.
He also highlights the main points of fat loss, the difference between fat loss and weight loss, the types of workouts we should maintain when trying to lose fat, and the role that cardio and nutrition play in this process. According to Dr. Jade, it’s not enough to just go out and exercise for it to ‘be fitness’; in fact, if your goal is weight loss, exercising too much can get in the way of that goal. In addition, you will learn the contrast between a higher carbohydrate/lower-fat diet, a lower carbohydrate/higher fat diet, and how to maintain protein high in both cases. Either way, one thing is true: we’re all different individuals so the approach will inevitably change.
