In this episode, Dr. Jade talks about the connection between metabolism and stress, weight loss activities, and also a new approach to dieting whose main idea is inspired by a study. In this study, a group of men was given only 300 calories to be consumed daily (in two different forms). They also had to walk several miles during the day (mild walks). The weight loss results after 4 days are nothing but extraordinary.
On metabolism and stress, Dr. Jade explains that the metabolism’s main responsibility is to keep you alive and for that reason, it can adapt and adjust as your daily habits change. That’s why what we do with our bodies daily matters: what we eat and how we move, for example, are two of the most important factors. The metabolism also can adapt to stress, acting more like a thermostat than a calculator. Tune in!
